Hannah Aguinaga is a fourth year Public Health major from Bakersfield, California. She is committed to understanding and improving the health of the San Joaquin Valley residents. She is currently working with Drs. Ha and Chan-Golston, examining how residential distance to freeways is linked to adverse pregnancy outcomes and chronic conditions in Fresno City. She has presented her research at the 2024 American Public Health Association Conference and at the 2024 UCM National Public Health Week Research Symposium. Additionally, she was invited to join the UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program, a prestigious and intensive summer internship which culminated with Hannah and her colleagues presenting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. More recently, Hannah presented her research at the 2024 American Public Health Association Conference and at the 2024 UCM National Public Health Week Research Symposium. Hannah plans to continue her studies with a graduate degree in Epidemiology, with an emphasis on maternal and child health. When she is taking a break from studying, Hannah can be found drawing in her sketchbook or practicing sewing.
