Cathryn Flores is a third-year Writing Minor student at UC Merced, seeking a major degree in English Literature. As an accomplished musician, she has published several songs on international streaming platforms under her artist name “KATT” and is in the process of releasing her debut album. She has developed many creative and professional writing projects, with an undergraduate research project this summer supporting bi-lingual productions of Shakespeare in the Central Valley and was among the first professional writing interns with UCM Public Relations. During the Spring of 2019, she participated as a musician and songwriter in UC Merced’s annual Shakespeare in Yosemite production. After graduating, she plans to grow her music production and pursue a professional writing career.
