My name is Araceli Perez and I am a fourth-year student double majoring in Anthropology and Psychology. I am passionate about understanding the symbiotic relationship between people and the environment and how they affect one another. In the summer of 2017, I assisted in research with Dr. Kathleen Hull in the Sierra Nevadas. During this time, I conducted fieldwork and data analysis of lithic debitage and artifacts collected. My experiences in the Sierra Nevadas piqued my interest for the outdoors, the environment, and the archaeological branch of anthropology. The following summer, I assisted in research in Sequoia National Park by conducting archaeological surveys at certain research installation sites. These experiences have inspired me to pursue higher education after graduation. I would like to take some time to find a program that fit my interests and career goals. In the meantime, I plan to expand my resume and gain more experience within the field of anthropology.
