Today's SSHA School Assembly gave faculty, lecturers and staff the opportunity to hear a "state of the school" address from Interim Dean Jeffrey Gilger. Jill Robbins will step in as the dean on Jan. 1. She was appointed over the summer after Mark Aldenderfer resigned to focus on his research. Aldenderfer is now on sabbatical.
At the assembly, Gilger gave colleagues an overview of how things would work this fall with him at the helm. Other speakers included Gregg Camfield, vice president of faculty, and the heads of all seven bylaw units.
