Sean James-Hickey is a Global Arts Studies major interested in magazine production and illustrative storytelling. He is known by his peers for being the author of NIGHTCRAWLER and soulsurvivor, two interactive web fictions. Additionally, he is known for his role as president in the Young Artist's Movement, the sole art club on campus at UC Merced. He frequently teaches mechanical drawing and illustrative storytelling to the YAM student body in hopes of inspiring artists to pursue further artistic development. Sean has published multiple zines under YAM and many personal zines to his website. Finally, Sean has volunteered his time and abilities to help with local artistic endeavors such as docenting at the UC Merced Art Gallery and theater production with the Merced Arts Center. He hopes to use his artistic abilities to enter the entertainment industry, producing creative publications or working on television/movies/video games.
