Dr. Paul Smaldino

Assistant Professor of Cognitive Science

Paul Smaldino uses mathematical and computational modeling to study the interaction between individual behavior and social organization, with a perspective rooted in evolutionary ecology and complex systems. Recently, he has been focusing on understanding how societal structure influences identity signaling and personality development, as well as how institutional incentives shape scientific practices.
